A Flathead Valley woman is denying charges that she stole tens of thousands of dollars from donors in an alleged cancer fraud scheme.

Amy Elizabeth Glanville, 46, of Kalispell is charged with felony theft. She entered a not guilty plea Jan. 6 in Flathead County District Court in front of Judge Heidi Ulbricht. She faces a maximum of 10 years in the Montana State Prison.

A new amendment to her condition of release allows Glanville to communicate with her mother and ex-husband, but she is not allowed to discuss the criminal case.

Court documents allege that Glanville falsely represented she was sick with cancer between 2016 and 2020. During that time, people donated about $60,000 to her through GoFundMe, PayPal and several fundraisers at Easthaven Baptist Church.

A pastor at the church became suspicious of Glanville in 2020 and eventually confronted her about his concerns, documents state. At that time Glanville allegedly confessed that she was never diagnosed with cancer and had made up the entire story.

She allegedly said that when her friends and family would transport her to medical appointments, she would just sit inside the hospital.

A jury trial is slated for Aug. 22, 2022.
