Kiera Sullivan scored 14 points, including two fourth-quarter 3-pointers, and Glacier broke through for its first Western AA conference win Friday, 49-45 over Missoula Sentinel.

Noah Fincher added 13 points for the Wolfpack (4-8 overall, 1-7 in league), which trailed 38-36 going into the final eight minutes.

Bethany Sorensen added four of her nine points in the final frame and Fincher hit 3 of 4 free throws to keep the Spartans (5-7, 32-5 in league) at bay.

“Sullivan stepped up big time on both sides of the ball, and represented our culture and style of play perfectly,” Glacier coach Amanda Cram said. “Our seniors, Beth and Sid (Gulick), were consummate leaders. Tonight we showed that despite our record, we are not a team to ever look past. I could not be more proud.”

Brooke Stayner scored 12 points for Sentinel, which plays at Flathead today. The Wolfpack will try to make it two in a row today against Butte, at 3 p.m.
