Glacier softball picks up two wins in Great Falls

GREAT FALLS — Ella Farrell hit a tie-breaking two-run single in the sixth inning, and picked up the win in relief in Glacier’s 3-1 win over Great Falls High Saturday, at the Crossover softball tournament.

The Wolfpack (7-5) went 2-0 at the tournament, downing Billings Skyview 9-4 behind Alli Kernan’s strong pitching and four RBIs out of the No. 9 spot in the order.

Kernan started this one as well, and threw four innings, allowing four hits and a walk. She fanned three.

Farrell finished up, allowing one hit and one walk in three innings, with four strikeouts.

Kernan hit a 2-run single and Sammie Labrum drilled a two-run double to push Glacier out to a 5-0 lead in the second inning.

Farrell added an RBI single in the second, and Kernan had brought home runs with base hits in the third and seventh innings.

On the hill Kernan allowed two hits and no walks in four innings. She fanned three.
