The Flathead County Agency on Aging will resume in-person "Medicare 101" classes on July 27. The free two-hour sessions help people understand the federal health insurance program, including questions about enrollment and eligibility.

The sessions are hosted from 1 to 3 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The next class will take place in the conference room of the county's South Campus Building at 40 11th St. W. in Kalispell.

The class will cover the different parts of Medicare and what to consider to make the most of the available options. It also will cover important enrollment dates, how to prevent late enrollment penalties, fraud prevention education through the Senior Medicare Patrol program, and information for those with limited incomes.

The classes are taught by certified State Health Insurance Program counselors. More information can be found by calling the Flathead County Agency on Aging at 406-758-5730 or by visiting the agency's Facebook page.
