Converse, Kubi lead Bravettes to victory

Clare Converse and Akilah Kubi scored 12 points each, and the Flathead Bravettes used a strong second-quarter to rally past Great Falls High for a 39-32 win in their girls basketball opener Friday, at the Flathead gym.

Converse hit a 3-pointer and scored seven points in the second quarter, helping Flathead turn an 11-7 deficit into a 22-15 halftime lead.

Kennedy Moore added nine points for the Bravettes, seven in the first half. Ashlyn Jones had two 3-pointers and 10 points to lead the Bison.

Flathead plays Great Falls Russell Saturday at 1 p.m.
