Snoozing man apparently not a problem

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked in the middle of Whitefish Stage Road near West Reserve Drive. A passing motorist woke the man up, and he drove away before deputies arrived.

Burglary was reported on Parkside Drive where a resident returned home to find a gate and dresser drawer open, though nothing appeared to be stolen.

An animal control officer picked up a dog that fell in a crawl space at a home that is under construction on Mountain View Drive. The dog was taken to a shelter.

A sheriff’s detective injured her foot while moving a file cabinet at the sheriff’s office on South Main Street in Kalispell.

A woman on Poplar Drive reported that a neighbor’s dog continuously comes in her yard.

Deputies were unable to locate a woman who was allegedly seen drinking a beer while driving on U.S. 93 North.

 A man on Winterloop Lane near Whitefish reported that a woman who used to live with him was threatening to have her brother beat him up.

A laptop computer was reported stolen on School Addition Road in Somers.

On Fourth Street North, a woman complained that the barking of a neighbor’s dog woke her up.

A caller near U.S. 2 East said a man was spinning out in a vehicle while drinking alcohol. A deputy spoke with the man, who was not in the vehicle, and advised him not to drive.

An employee at a business on U.S. 2 East called law enforcement after man began “talking about a revolution.”

A deputy counseled two women after one of them claimed the other assaulted her on Shady Lane.

Deputies were unable to locate a man who was reportedly seen opening mailboxes near Rose Crossing.

A Kila woman reported that she locked herself in a bathroom with her four children after her husband became aggressive.

On U.S. 2 West in Marion, a caller reported that someone made $527.80 in purchases on a stolen debit card.

A verbal disturbance involving eight family members was reported in Cobbler Village south of Kalispell.

A caller on Somers Road in Somers threatened to shoot dogs he accused of getting in his chicken coop. He said his German shepherd chased them away before he could shoot them.

Kalispell Police Department officers responded after a woman at Flathead Valley Community College said someone intentionally hit her with a vehicle in a parking lot off of Grandview Drive. She was uninjured.

An employee in Flathead County’s Earl Bennett Building on First Avenue West reported suspicious activity after an unattended backpack was found behind a chair. An officer inspected the bag, which contained nothing suspicious, and contacted the owner.

An iPod was reported stolen by someone on North Main Street.

On Third Avenue West, a caller complained that all the handicap parking spaces were occupied. An officer determined no one was illegally parked.

A man on Liberty Street said a woman who has a protection order against him has been following him.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant near 11th Street West.

An employee at a business on Airport Road asked that two “unwanted” men be removed, but they left before an officer could respond.

A man on Fifth Avenue East told officers someone yelled at him while he was sleeping.

An iPod Touch was reported stolen from the locker room of Glacier High School on Wolfpack Way.

Also on Wolfpack Way, a concerned parent reported that an unknown man offered a teenage girl “a ride anywhere she wanted to go.” The girl did not know the man.

Fifty dollars was reported stolen from a school bus on Wolfpack Way.

A teenage boy was arrested for alleged distribution of dangerous drugs on Northwest Lane.

Montana Highway Patrol troopers responded to a crash that injured at least one person near the intersection of Montana 35 and Riverside Drive in Creston.

Non-injury collisions were reported on Brady Way, U.S. 93 at Bierney Creek Road, Shady Lane, Valley Drive, Lakeshore Drive and Ferndale Drive.
