Helen Stein, 84

Helen Stein, 84, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

She was born Nov. 6, 1926, to Zoltan and Maria (Hauer) Gugi.

Helen immigrated from Hungary to the United States in 1964, and later became a U.S. citizen. She lived in New York, Michigan, and moved to Bigfork three years ago.

Helen loved life and animals. She was a good cook and great homemaker. She dearly loved her dog Molly and enjoyed caring for her.

Helen is survived by her son, Frank Vass, of Bigfork; grandchildren, Kathy Vass and Marianne Erdman of Michigan; a sister, Irene, in Hungary; and four great-grandchildren.
