Vose A. Robertson, 94

Vose A. Robertson, 94, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Heritage Place in Kalispell. He was born Jan. 13, 1914, in Kalispell, the son of Clyde 'Rabbit' and Minnie (Vose) Robertson.

He spent his early years at Heart Butte, where his father was the government agent for the Blackfeet Indians. His special friend there was Peter White Man. He graduated from Flathead County High School in Kalispell. He spent a short time in the service. Then he drove a bus for the City of Kalispell.

He then went to work for American Timbers in Olney. Later he delivered coffee to many different restaurants for Matthew-Kerr. His route was from Missoula to Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He was forced to retire because of glaucoma.

He spent his retirement shoveling snow and mowing lawns for the entire neighborhood.

He walked to Joe's Barber Shop every day to sweep the floors and visit. He always had a piece of hard candy in his pocket for anyone he would meet.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tracy Robertson; a brother, Robert Robertson; and a sister, Mary Jane Panick.

He is survived by his wife, Verda Robertson, and a sister, Beulah Clothier, both of Kalispell; an adopted son, Fred Farrell, of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
