Kalispell police

Kalispell police received a report Tuesday from the Blue Cow car wash of an intoxicated driver and an intoxicating smell emanating from the vehicle.

Police investigated a brawl between a mother and daughter on Sixth Street West, in which one of the combatants had a broken rib and was bleeding from the mouth.

A woman driver complained of an older man on a three-wheeled bike pulling in front of her on East Center Street and then adding insult to injury by using profane language.

A Kimber pistol was reported missing from an unlocked vehicle on Palmer Drive Tuesday morning.

A resident of West Nicklaus Drive found he was three golf clubs short in his set stored in his unlocked garage.

A citizen on Sunnyside Drive got hit on the head when he interrupted the unknown people taking gas from the two vehicles in front of his house. He told police that they were driving a black truck, but he didn't want to pursue assault charges.

An 18-year-old man was charged with two counts of assault, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer in an incident late Monday at Woodland Park.

Officers investigated an anonymous report of two people spray-painting two girls' bikes. They found many bikes in the yard on Third Avenue West but no one home.

A blonde woman in a green shirt was reported stumbling amid traffic at Center Street and Meridian Road Monday, but she had stumbled off when officers arrived.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies put a damper on an illegal fire Tuesday. Construction workers were disposing of ripped-out material in the process of remodeling an old house.

A report of animal cruelty was investigated on Middle Road. Deputies told the owner to put the three dogs and their kennel in a shaded area.

Wine apparently was flowing in the streets at Northridge Drive and U.S. 93 Tuesday. A spill was found involving broken wine bottles at about 1 p.m.

Deputies are investigating a report made Tuesday of child sexual abuse.

Money was taken from a trusting driver who left the cash in an unlocked car on South Woodland Avenue.

Deputies cracked the case of missing letters from the Stillwater Estates sign by logging on to MySpace.com and viewing a picture of the letters and the crime in progress. No information was released about the juvenile suspect.

Burglars gained entry to a business in Columbia Falls by pushing in the window air conditioner, then crawling through the window. They stole credit cards.

Columbia Falls police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. It was found 15 minutes later, but the owner did not want to press charges.

Officers are investigating checks stolen from Second Avenue West.
