Pairings set for AA state soccer tournament

Western AA soccer champion Flathead will open state tournament play Thursday in Helena against C.M. Russell, the No. 4 seed from Eastern AA.

Match time is 2:30 p.m.

Flathead is 10-2 on the season while CMR is 5-6-2.

The Flathead girls, the No. 2 seed from the Western Division, will tangle with Billings West, the third seed from the Eastern Division, at noon.

The Bravettes are 9-1-2 on the season.

The tournament runs through Saturday.
