A Kalispell woman Thursday admitted causing a highway accident that killed her sister and a passing motorcyclist in April.

Genevieve Baker was 46 when she drove on U.S. 2 near the airport with a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit.

It was mid-afternoon on April 29 when she slid into the path of William Haller Jr.'s motorcycle. The 25-year-old man died instantly after colliding with the back of Baker's vehicle.

She then rolled her car into a ditch. Her sister in the passenger seat, Georgia Johnston, 46, also died on impact.

In court Thursday, Baker said she has no memory of the crash, in which she was critically hurt.

County Attorney Ed Corrigan said he has no plea agreement with Baker that would offer her a shorter recommended sentence in return for her guilty pleas to two counts of vehicular homicide.

She earlier had pleaded innocent and was scheduled for trial in January.

She is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 14.

She faces as long as 20 years in prison.
