Fire burns Somers trailer

The Somers Fire Department was called Monday night about a trailer fire on Montana 82. The structure was unoccupied and displayed "Free, you haul" on the front. The fire department extinguished the fire. Investigators believe it was deliberately set. The fire rekindled Tuesday morning and firefighters returned.

A man had been following a woman all day, someone reported to Kalispell police. The caller pulled over the follower, who turned out to be conducting an investigation on the woman for the Department of Labor and Industry.

Police Chief Frank Garner said his department is cracking down on bar fights, which have become an almost daily occurrence. On Monday, a report came from the Finish Line, where five men fought and one was arrested for resisting arrest. From Fatt Boys, a man called to say there were five men waiting to assault him outside the bar.

An officer counseled a woman who said a man got out of his vehicle and abused and threatened her near Peterson School.

On Birchwood Court, some boys reportedly held down another boy and stole his bike. He got his bike back, but his father wants to file a report.

A pregnant woman said she was thrown to the ground and threatened on Appleway Drive, but never showed up to file a complaint. Same with someone who said some men broke into his apartment and assaulted him.

Traffic stops yielded one arrest on a warrant and another for DUI.

The Highway Patrol was notified of a woman who said a man stole her car and wrecked it on Airport Road.

Two people were arrested for theft after pillaging the donation bins at Flathead Industries.

He lives in a car and he keeps getting drunk and calling a woman who doesn't welcome his calls.

A neighbor dispute on Two Mile Drive hasn't cooled off with fall temperatures. There's an ongoing problem at a business on East Idaho Street with a customer who harasses workers.

Screens were cut at a home on Third Street West.

A report of a sexual assault is under investigation.

A man who showed up at a Teal Drive home claimed to be a carpet cleaner, but he couldn't name the company he supposedly worked for and had no carpet-cleaning equipment.
