Margaret Anne 'Peg' Yaeck, 94

Margaret Anne "Peg" Yaeck, 94, passed away in Kalispell, on Thursday, May 25, 2006.

Margaret was born on Sept. 14, 1911, in Bottineau, N.D., the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Hamilton. She was soon affectionately known as "Peg." She was the eldest and proud "big sister" of Thomas and John. In 1928, the family moved to Kalispell, where Peg graduated from Flathead County High School in 1930.

Peg married Elliot Chester and had two daughters, Jean and Helen. Peg worked as an obstetrical nurse at Kalispell General Hospital and later worked as an office nurse for Dr. Bruce Allison.

Peg also enjoyed making and decorating cakes and made beautiful wedding cakes for many Kalispell residents.

On Sept. 19, 1952, Peg married Frederick Yaeck. They shared 54 beautiful years together. Peg and Fred had a daughter, Mary. Peg's greatest love was her family.

She and Fred visited England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, along with several locales in the United States.

Peg is survived by her loving husband, Fred; three daughters, Jean Sonju of Libby, Helen and husband, Lee Mullen, of Spokane, and Mary and husband, Harold Malloy, of Kalispell; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.

Peg was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Margaret Hamilton; brothers, John and Tom Hamilton; an infant son; and an infant granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Pastor Glenn Burfeind will officiate. Interment will be in Glacier Memorial Gardens.

Peg was a very special and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will forever be missed by her loving family and friends.
