Thomas Timbrukip 'Tim' Zundel, 33

Thomas Timbrukip "Tim" Zundel passed away peacefully at home April 27, 2006, "in the arms of our Lord."

He was born March 24, 1973, in Whitefish. Tim attended school in Evergreen, graduating from Laser, and had three years of college.

In 1991, he married Amy Bain. He had one son, Kyler Thomas, his pride and joy.

Tim was with the 101st Airborne, receiving basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and becoming a platoon sergeant. He was named Soldier of the Month several times. He attended advanced individual training as an electrical armament specialist, in charge of 67 X-ray (night vision) Apache helicopters. Tim was a weapons specialist on AH 64 attack helicopters and a member of the DART Unit (Downed Aircraft Recovery Team) stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. He was honorably discharged.

Tim worked for Zee's Custom Cabinets and most recently worked in building construction.

His hobbies included softball (playing for the city teams). He pitched a shutout at the Shelbyville, Ind., Little League World Series. He declined an opportunity to pitch in the minor leagues to raise his family. His other hobbies were skiing, golf, football, rafting, hunting, karaoke, cooking, hiking, camping and ink etchings.

Tim is survived by his parents, Thomas and Memoree Zundel; his brothers, Taj and Carrie Zundel, Gordy and Kristina Zundel, Bennie and Darlene Bee, and Dennis and Tammy Bee. Tim adored and deeply loved his nieces and nephews, and his aunts, uncles and cousins. He embraced and had unconditional love for friends, co-workers and family.

Tim and fiancee, Kimberly Romin,e were baptized Easter Sunday, dedicating their life to Christ. They had planned to be married May 20. Kim, Dig and Kyler made Tim's life a miracle.

"Our great loss is truly God's gain. Tim, you are greatly blessed. But our Best Man is holding the door, so go to the light, Tim. Go to God with infinite love and pride. Hold you head high, son. You're free. Until we meet again, kisses and hugs. Remembering you with every heartbeat."

Services will be at 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 5, at Bread of Life Church, 544 Fifth Ave. W., in Kalispell. A potluck will be afterward. After the potluck, a celebration of Tim's life will be held at 1831 Whalebone Drive.
