Barbara Anne Ristine, 57

Barbara Anne Ristine, 57, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at her residence in Kalispell.

She was born on May 4, 1949, at Huntington, Ind., the daughter of Norbert and Margaret (Young) Karst.

On Jan. 31, 1970, she was united in marriage to Wayne Ristine. She was a wife and mother to seven children and grandmother to seven. The biggest love of her life was her children and grandchildren.

She consecrated her life to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and lived that out in her life as a member of Regnum Christi. She was also a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norbert Karst.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Ristine, of Kalispell; her children, Jennifer Ristine of Greenville, R.I., Susan Ristine of Fort Worth, Texas, Thomas Ristine of Moscow, Idaho, Margaret Lidstrom of Havre, Laura Ristine of Napa, Calif., Matthew Ristine of Kalispell, and Rachel Ristine of Bad Munstereifel, Germany; seven grandchildren; her mother, Margaret Karst, of Huntington, Ind.; and five sisters.

A Mass of Christian burial for Barbara will be held at 12:10 p.m. today, July 27, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, with Father Vic Langhans officiating. Burial will be after services at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Legionaries of Christ, P.O. Box 4186, Hamden, CT 06514.
