POLSON - Mission Valley edged Libby 10-9 Tuesday in a Western A American Legion baseball game.

Tim Rausch relieved starting pitcher Eric Locke in the third inning to earn the win for the Mariners. Rausch improved his record to 7-1 while Mission Valley's conference record went to 20-4.

Steve Bertelson went 3-for-4 and drove in a run to lead Libby's offense.

Brandon Thompson and Will Gordon each went 2-for-4 for Mission Valley. Gordon doubled for the game's only extra-base hit.
