Kalispell Police are investigating a fire that destroyed a car

that had been reported stolen. The red 1993 Grand Am had been left running outside of Finnegan's restaurant and was reported missing at about 2 a.m. At 3:46 a.m., it was found burning a short distance away. The fire evidently began in the engine compartment.

There's a suspect in the thefts of items stolen at a home on Third Avenue West.

An officer had a talk with a 19-year-old man and told him to stay away from a 15-year-old girl he has been seeing. The man is not to harass her parents either.

Men were arrested for DUI on Third Avenue East North and on Third Avenue East.

Among the many complaints about fireworks was one on West Center Street, where someone was cited for setting them off. Fireworks are illegal in the city.

An argument on Airport Road wasn't complete until an officer arrived.

At 1:30 a.m., a man on Fifth Avenue East walked down the street and periodically hid himself in the trees. An officer gave him a ride.

A man who is universally unwelcome at businesses around town added the hospital emergency room to the list Friday, when he refused to leave and challenged a nurse with, "I dare you to call police." She did. An officer gave him a ride to a place where he could process the alcohol in his system. But he prompted another complaint a few hours later when he was found sleeping in the pavilion near a playground at Woodland Park. An officer responded there twice before aiming the man at a road out of town.
