The Alpine Artisans Wine and Chocolate social gets under way at 1 p.m. Sunday in Seeley Lake.

Wine, chocolate social is Sunday

Live and silent auctions of more than 40 local area artists' original works will continue through the day. The $10 admission includes wine, nonalcoholic beverages, hors d'oeuvres and chocolate desserts.

Oil and watercolor paintings, pottery, wood carvings, photography, stained glass, fabric and hand-cast paper items, sculptures and more will be auctioned. Proceeds benefit a Seeley-Swan High School scholarship award and other outreach programs.

Shuttle-bus service from Wolds Valley Market parking lot will be available.

Hi ho, hi ho, be sure to see 'Snow White'

Missoula Children's Theatre stages two performances of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" at 3 and 7 p.m. today at the Somers Middle School gym. Tickets are available at the door and cost $5 for adults, $2 for students, and children 5 and younger are free.

Aspiring models, be at mall today

Sunburst USA Beauty Pageant and Model Search will be at the Kalispell Center Mall today. Registration is at 10 a.m., and the pageant begins at 11.

Female contestants 27 years of age and younger and boys 4 years of age and younger are eligible to compete in such categories as King, Queen, Best Personality, Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile and Most Photogenic.

'Beyond Flathead' film 'Campfire' at library today

The Bigfork branch of Flathead County Library presents the film "Campfire" at 3 p.m. today as part of its "Beyond the Flathead" independent and foreign film series. The film tells the story of a widowed mother of two teenage daughters and her struggle to join a new religious settlement in the West Bank. The movie contains subtitles and is intended for mature audiences. Admission is free.

Dads-daughters dance is tonight

Tonight's the night for the annual Daddy-Daughter Dance from 7 to 9 sponsored by Bee Broadcasting and Kalispell Parks and Recreation. The venue is Linderman School, 124 Third Ave. E. Admission is $8 a couple, and families are welcome. Refreshments and door prizes round out the fun. Call 758-7717.
