Turn out the lights, party's over

It was at about 2:30 a.m. that someone reported to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office that shots were fired and a girl was crying at a home on Cayuse Lane.

Deputies went to the house and saw someone with a flashlight inside. He wouldn't talk to deputies who finally forced their way into the house.

They arrested him for obstructing an officer and took him to the hospital for a mental-health evaluation. Three girls inside were cited for underage alcohol possession. There was no evidence of a shooting.

A man called from a casino to complain that he arrived with $50 and wound up broke. He wanted to press charges because the machine ate his money and he expected to win, he said. He was advised to go home and sleep it off.

A man was arrested for DUI on Shady Lane.

Disturbances were reported on Montana 40 and on East Evergreen Drive.

A parent needed help with a 7-year-old boy's behavior on Ridgewood Drive.

A meter reader was confronted by a resident who threatened her and threw a firecracker between her feet.

No one was hurt when a car went over an embankment in Bigfork and landed in the harbor.
