Woman dies in rollover

Sometime prior to 5 a.m., the woman, who was not identified, was headed northbound on Montana 35. She was five miles north of Polson when her vehicle, a black Ford Explorer, drifted off the right-hand side of the road into the ditch. The rig climbed the adjoining embankment and end-flipped, coming to a rest facing southbound.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was completely ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene.

Montana Highway Patrol officers believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.

No further information was available at press time.
