Libby’s Johnston shoots 74 to win Ronan Invitational

RONAN — Ryggs Johnston of Libby and Macee Greenwood of Corvallis were medalists while Stevensville, boys, and Corvallis, girls, collected team titles on Thursday at the Ronan Invitational golf tournament.

Johnston, a senior, shot 74 to edge Jayce Painter of Stevensville by two shots for top honors. Stevensville, 319, finished well ahead of Polson, 330 for first place in the team race.

Greenwood carded an 80 to finish 10 shots ahead of the field. Corvallis, 397, nipped Polson by a stroke for the team title.
