WRESTLING: Graves wins 3rd divisional title; Eureka repeats as Western B/C champ

SUPERIOR — Garrett Graves (182) won his third straight title and Eureka captured its fourth straight Western B/C divisional wrestling championship on Saturday.

Graves, a Eureka senior, entered the competition with a 29-0 mark.

Eureka had four other individual winners in Gunnar Smith (113), Nathan Schmidt (120), Hank Dunn (132) and Sam Johnson (285).

Eureka had three individuals finish second — Isaac Petz (145), James Fehr (152) and Jonathan Schmidt (160).

Schmidt, a senior, was seeking his third-straight divisional championship. He lost a tough 3-2 decision to Kyler Alm of Florence/Carlton in the final.

Eureka had a winning score of 209 to repeat. Thompson Falls, 144, was a distant second.

The top four individuals in all weight classes advance to the all-class state tournament, which begins Friday in Billings.
