MISSOULA — Tucker Nadeau and Michael Lee captured individual titles, Payton Hume was a runner-up and Flathead settled for a disappointing fourth place finish as a team at the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic wrestling tournament on Saturday.

Nadeau (182) decisioned Wyatt Blythe of Lewistown in the final round 8-3 to remained undefeated on the season.

Lee (285) pinned Wyatt Wickham of Central Valley, Washington, in his championship round match in 4:23.

Hume, the Braves’ other finalist, lost a tough 5-3 decision to Alex Wickens of Lewistown at 170 pounds.

Polson had two in the finals — Bridger Wenzel (132) and Parker Adler (152). Both were second.

Flathead, the defending Rocky champions,

finished with a 182 1/2 point total.

Bozeman, 238, came out on top with Havre, 200, second and Mead High School from Spokane, Washington, third with a 190 1/2 score.

Polson, 109, was ninth,

Columbia Falls 15th, Libby 17th and Glacier tied for 25th.

Finishing third were Brendan Barnes (103) of Flathead and Ben Windauer (170) of Columbia Falls.

“Tucker Nadeau and Michael Lee both wrestled very well this weekend,” Flathead coach Jeff Thompson said.

“Michael had a hard-fought win in the finals, getting a head and arm for the pin with the score tied 1-1 at the time. Tucker did what Tucker does, getting another tournament win and adding to his undefeated season.

“Overall, we are not happy with fourth, but it does help take the target off our backs and we just have to go back to work and prepare for a real tough Bozeman team. We have our work cut out for us, but this team is up for the challenge. “Also, Kenyon Fretwell, Garrett Rieke and Brendan Barnes all had a great day on the mats. We just need to get back to attacking and a little adversity won’t hurt this group.”
