Garbage dumper leaves tell-tale evidence

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, an employee at a Columbia Falls business did some digging to find out the name of a person who was dumping personal trash in their Dumpster. The supervisor reportedly went through the garbage to find the name of the culprit.

A teenage boy was sent home from the Sheriff’s Office to go to sleep after getting into an argument with his dad.

A caller couldn’t believe his or her eyes when looking through binoculars near Lakeside. The caller reported seeing a bright light like a twinkling snow flake they had never seen before.

A Bigfork man said he decided to change the combination to the safe on bought on Craigslist, but he forgot the number and the safe was stuck open.

A caller told Whitefish Police he was a victim of mistaken identity when his brother pretended to be him and got a traffic ticket in Missoula.

A woman’s memory was hazy about her lost wallet. She said she either lost it at the bar or on the walk home from the bar.

Staff at a Whitefish business “ex”plained to police that the suspect of a hit-and-run accident was an ex-boyfriend of an ex-employee.

According to the Kalispell Police Department, a man was drinking a beer in his vehicle while parked in a parking lot.

A caller said her son was on the run after she loaned her car to him and he hadn’t returned it. She wanted to know what she could do to get it back.

A caller had a “cat problem” and wanted to trap the cats and take them to the shelter. However, the caller was worried the shelter would charge a drop-off fee.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, someone reportedly “trashed” a park when they dumped garbage in it.

A woman said she saw cows walking down the street.

Columbia Falls Police took a report that someone found a big bottle of red pills on the train tracks.
