When Montana voters handed huge legislative majorities to the GOP this November, those elections carried a powerful conservative mandate. A mandate that was resonating across our nation.

With an economy in shambles and personal liberties in grave peril, we demanded an end to Big Government’s “business as usual. Yes, we knew both parties shared the blame for the abyss we were in, but we also knew only one party had the potential to lead us back into the sunlight. We voted Republican.

For those of you wondering whom "Montana Conservatives" is and how they rate voting records, here's a relevant quote from their web site (montanaconservatives.com):

"...TAB uses a very simple measure to classify votes: a vote for bigger government -- more spending, taxing, regulation, or intrusion -- is classified as liberal. A vote against bigger government or for smaller government is classified as conservative."

One might wonder why constitutionalists don't infiltrate the democrat party, as socialists do the Republican party. Well, Larry MacDonald once did that in Congress, and look what happened to him. (Remember Korean Airlines Flight 007?)

Excellent article, opened my eyes to the liberal and moderates who infiltrate the republican party in little old MT. It matters not if Koopman is biased or not, I am sure it opened the eyes of many. The important thing is that there is an article written about the Montana legislature. I havent seen any of them written by a republican as the left leaning media will not print them.

Mr. Koopman says that there is a conservative mandate. I think that there is a Republican mandate. I think we need more reasonable and moderate representatives and fewer fire breathers. We live in a great state which does not require radical change.

Why is it that Koopman thinks he gets to judge who is conservative? I am not willing to cede to him my opinions on anything, much less have him act as a dictator over the Legislature.
Koopman is acting like a Chicago ward heeler, or an Organizer for America punk. Time for him to go.

"Montana Conservatives “TAB” legislative voting index"...... I sure wish you would print out your Litmus Test Q & A so that us normal Montana folks can see where you are coming from. I would hate to assume that your just another prejudiced, old school, jerk who got burnt in the Real Estate meltdown while selling the Last Best Place. Remember, we're not all stupid.
