GOLF: Porch increases Montana Open lead

MISSOULA — Ryan Porch of Kalispell added two more shots to his lead during second-round action of the Montana Open golf tournament at Larchmont Golf Course.

Porch, who opened with a 65 for a two-shot advantage on Friday, carded a 68 Saturday for a 4-shot edge with his 133 score heading into today’s final round.

Brian Beach of Missoula, who also shot a 68 on Saturday, and Russell Grove of Coeur d’Alene are tied for second with 137 totals.

Jimmy Mee of Libby shot a 67 the second day for a 141 score. He is sitting in seventh place.

Kyle Long of Columbia Falls, 70-74—144, is tied for ninth.
