Artist Diana Neville Knowles is offering a portrait painting workshop at Hobby Lobby in Kalispell for four days, Aug. 28 through Aug. 31. Each session will begin at 10 a.m. and finish at 5 p.m. with a one-hour break for lunch.

The class is limited to eight students and deposits are necessary to hold the space.

Students 14 years old and older are welcome. Participants will create a 16-by-20-inch pastel “head study” of one subject. Neville Knowles guarantees the quality and completion of each new student’s work. All supplies are furnished for new students, and previous students may purchase additional supplies as needed from Hobby Lobby or Neville Knowles. New students need only to bring a clear-resolution photo of their subject. Photos can be in color or black and white.

Additionally, Neville Knowles will close her season at her Porch Gallery in Bigfork, at the corner of Grand and Electric avenues, this weekend. For anyone interested in commissioning a portrait, Neville Knowles will be available Friday, Aug. 25, and Saturday, Aug. 26, from noon until 5 p.m. or by appointment.

For more information or to register for the portrait painting workshop, call 406-871-2770 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. or visit http://www.diananeville.com.
