Norman and Jeanna Root of Kalispell will celebrate their 50th anniversary Dec. 6 at a family gathering hosted by their children.
The couple were married Nov. 28, 1964, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A sealing ceremony took place Oct. 18, 1975, in the Cardston, Alberta Temple.
The Roots are lifelong residents of Kalispell. Norm has owned and operated Root Masonry for 57 years. Jeanna owned the Toddler Inn for many years and is now at the Early Learning Center at St. Matthew’s Catholic School.
They have both worked and continue to serve in many ward callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Their children are Christine and David Smith of Hamilton, Michael and Michelle Root of Gilbert, Ariz., Daniel and Jaimi Root of Kalispell, Annalise and Dustin Wilson of Kila, and Benjamin Root and Aimee Neff of Kalispell.
They have 17 grandchildren.
