Darrell R. White, 57

Darrell R. White lost his battle with cancer on July 28, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Avondale, Ariz.

He was born on Dec. 9, 1955, in Santa Ana, Calif. to his mother, Violet Louise Briggs and father Norman Lee White.

Darrell was employed for over 35 years by APS at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generation Station where he worked until being forced to retire by his illness.

He received both his bachelor’s and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Phoenix. He was a graduate of Bigfork High School, class of 1974, and also served in the United States Navy. He also coached his daughter’s soccer team to a league championship.

He was a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, coach and friend who left this world too soon and will be dearly missed.

Darrell is survived by his mother, Violet Fortune; his wife, Rose; daughters, Jessica and Zac Franz, Carissa and Troy Neater, and Tiffany and Adam Wright; sisters, Teresa Suhr, Susan Parish and Sheryl Price; brother, Brian White; five grandchildren, with the sixth due in October; and numerous nieces and nephews.
