Pack softball players Allen, Hodous sign letters of intent
A pair of Glacier softball standouts, Zoey Allen and Bella Hodous, have signed letters of intent to continue playing at the college level.
Both played on the 2023 Wolfpack squad that won the State AA title; Allen hit .293 with five home runs and 17 runs batted in, and signed with College of Idaho in Caldwell; Hodous appeared in five games last season as a junior and has signed with Spokane Falls Community College.
Fairfield Shooting Challenge begins May 1
The Fairfield Basketball Club announced this week that the Third Annual 8K Shooting Challenge, for boys and girls from grades 1-8 across Montana, is set to begin May 1.

Big Sky’s Couture commits to MSU
Kadynce Couture, an All-State basketball player for Missoula Big Sky, announced Thursday she is headed to Montana State to play for the Bobcat women.
Couture, who averaged 16.8 points and 9.0 rebounds as a junior for the Eagles, had originally committed to the Idaho Vandals. She posted a picture of herself on Instagram wearing a Bobcat uniform with the captain, “Committed.”
North A takes 2nd in Senior Classic
A North A squad heavily fortified with Flathead Valley athletes took second at last week’s Billings Hotel Senior Classic, losing to South A 94-84 in the little game.
Columbia Falls’ Jace Hill averaged 23.5 points at the tournament, and had 25 in his team’s 81-76 win over the East A in the semifinals.
Maurice Redhorn III of Browning scored 21 points in the semifinal win and 26 in the championship loss (Hill had 24). Frenchtown’s Eli Quinn sparked the South A with 40 points.
The North A squad included Tommy Running Rabbit and Delbert Blackman from Browning, Ted Coffman and Marlo Tonasket of Ronan and Jack Jensen and Wyatt Johnson of Bigfork.
They were coached by Zach Wagner and Maurice Redhorn II.
